With 20 years of marketing and public relations experience, Amber Dixon founded Amber Gold Marketing, LLC (AGM) to become the marketing and public relations outsourcing solution for small businesses, nonprofits and Foundations, and solo-entrepreneurs. As President and CEO of the rapidly growing firm, she works closely with AGM clients to strengthen the organization’s brand, tell the company’s story through public relations efforts, implement successful demand-generation campaigns using social media networking, and develop content marketing strategies and collateral for multiple purposes. Her business mantra is, “Filling the marketing and public relations gap for businesses and professionals.”
Along with her team, Amber works one-on-one with businesses to identify, implement, and review personalized marketing and public relations initiatives. Many small businesses do not have an in-house marketing or public relations department but are in need of someone to assist them with building brand awareness in both traditional and online capacities. Amber’s unique experience of both the marketing and public relations industries allows Amber and her firm to develop tailored strategies for each client to reach his/her goals. Amber believes in the power of mixing traditional marketing with social media platforms for success, and in the words of Amber, “The majority of companies and individuals rely too heavily on an online presence and forget about traditional methods or vice versa. Amber is a frequent speaker for a variety of audiences in the Salt Lake Valley on topics like, social media for business, marketing techniques, public relations best practices, and market development.
Amber graduated with a BS in Communications and a minor in Business. She also earned an Executive Programs certification from the Kellogg School of Management in Chicago, IL. Amber is active in the community serving on a variety of committee and boards, and in October of 2012, she was nominated as Woman of the Year for the Women in Insurance and Financial Services national organization.
For over 20 years, Pearl has held leadership positions in both corporations and nonprofit organizations focusing on marketing, public relations, and strategic planning. The unique combination of experience in both the corporate and nonprofit sectors provides a unique insight that benefits clients.
Prior to Amber Gold Marketing, Pearl was the Executive Director of a corporate foundation. In this role, she was an integral part of the executive leadership team where she designed and created communication strategies, brand awareness campaigns, and programs in alignment with business objectives. She also led a cross-functional team of writers and external partners to create website, marketing collateral, and social media strategy. As the spokesperson for the foundation, she has extensive experience in public speaking and interacting with the media.
Pearl holds a Masters of Professional Communication from Westminster College and a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from the University of Utah. Pearl is active in the community serving on a variety of committees and boards and is a proud member of Rotary of SLC.
